Flood Infrastructure Fund (FIF) Lower Sabine Study
Public Meeting #2 February 4, 2025 at 3:00 PM (Orange, Texas)
Notice is hereby given that the Sabine River Authority of Texas (SRATX) is hosting a second public meeting to inform the public of the Lower Sabine Flood Infrastructure Fund (FIF) project’s progress and gather comments on the identified existing condition’s flood hazards and current conditions flood modeling results. The public meeting will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 at the Sabine River Authority’s office in the main conference room located at 12777 Highway 87 N, Orange, Texas, 77632.
AGENDA:
1. Tabletop evaluation of existing conditions flood hazards in study area
2. Review of Areas of Interest (AOI) for potential flood mitigation projects
3. Gather input from public attendees regarding frequently flooded areas to identify potential locations for a flood reduction project

IN PERSON: At the public meeting held at SRA’s main conference room located at 12777 Highway 87 N, Orange, Texas, 77632 on February 4th, 2025 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, Comments will be recorded and will be documented.
VIA E-MAIL: The Lower Sabine FIF engineering consultant team, Freese and Nichols, Inc., will collect comments via e-mail until February 28, 2025. E-mail comments should be provided to the study’s Project Manager, Mat Leclair, PE, CFM, at Mat.Leclair@freese.com.
