The Sabine River Authority of Texas (SRA-TX) is charged with conserving, storing, and protecting the waters of the Sabine River Basin in Texas, including protecting the plants and animals dependent on the waters of the Sabine. As a serious steward of the Sabine River Basin, it has been active for many years as a leader in conservation in the Sabine Basin and for the State of Texas. Its partnerships and working relationships with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD), Texas Commission for Environmental Quality (TCEQ), and the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC), to name a few, are evidence of SRA-TX's commitment to maintain the integrity of the Sabine River Ecosystem as a whole for mankind and wildlife alike.
