Lakeview Campground

Lakeview Campground is located on Toledo Bend Reservoir. This campground offers 10 camping sites with a table, grill, tent pad, and garbage can at each site.  Water is available from two centrally located hydrants and the area has portable toilet facilities.  It is a trailhead for the Trail Between the Lakes.  The area is owned by the USFS Sabine National Forest and operated by the Sabine River Authority of Texas.

From Pineland, Texas, follow FM 2426 east for 10 miles; turn right (south) on Highway 87 for 3 miles; turn left (east) on FM 2928 for 3.5 miles to the end of the paved road; follow signs to Lakeview (approximately 4 miles).

Any time Lakeview Recreational Area (PWS 2020057) has a major storm or natural disaster that causes the water system to be without electricity, the Lakeview Recreation Area park will be evacuated, the park will be closed to the public (gates shut), and the water drained out of the lines in the park until the problems are corrected and the park is able to be reopened. There are no obligations or contracts to supply water from Lakeview Recreation Area Water System during an emergency or inclement weather event.
