Flood Infrastructure Fund (FIF) Upper Sabine Study – Public Meeting #2
August 22, 2023 at 5:30 PM (Longview, Texas)
Notice is hereby given that the Sabine River Authority of Texas (SRATX) has set up a meeting for public review and comment of the progress for the Upper Sabine Flood Infrastructure (FIF) Project. The public comment meeting will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023, at the Longview Convention Center located at 100 Grand Blvd., Longview, Texas, 75604.
AGENDA:
- Brief introduction of the Flood Infrastructure Fund (FIF) program
- Summary of the current progress of the Upper Sabine FIF study
- Current Flood Risk Review
- Areas of Interest (AOI) for potential flood mitigation actions
- Prioritized Areas of Interests for mitigation modeling
- Current Progress
- Upcoming public meetings – November 7th, 2023

Information on how to participate in the public comment meeting is detailed below:
IN PERSON:
At the public meetings held the Longview Convention Center located at 100 Grand. Blvd., Longview, Texas, 75604 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, Comments will be recorded and will be documented in the summary of public comments in the Upper Sabine FIF study
VIA E-MAIL:
The Sabine River Authority (SRA) and its Technical Consultant (FNI) will accept comments via e-mail until September 22, 2023. E-mail comments should be provided to SRA Project Manager, Mark Mann at mmann@sratx.org or to FNI Project Manager, Mat Leclair at Mat.Leclair@freese.com.
VIA MAIL:
The Sabine RFPG will accept written comments until September 22nd, 2023. Written comments should be mailed to:
